Throughout a 20-year career in digital media Mike has filled many roles and is a true multihypenate. He has proven experience in all phases of digital media creation from strategy to execution, design to development, and product management to sales/marketing.Mike's professional background includes:
He is currently a senior leader of Campfire, a specialized marketing agency that develops award-winning strategies and campaigns to launch new products and entertainment franchises. The company is known for creating world-class participatory programs and immersive experiences that ignite fan cultures, encourage spread and drive awareness.
He is also the Managing Director of StoryCode, a global community of interactive and immersive media makers. In these roles Mike has established himself as a seasoned thought-leader and creator in the immersive media space.
In 2010 Mike founded Murmur, a next generation storytelling studio. The company developed it's own original work and collaborated with select clients and filmmakers to create new types of narrative experiences.
In 2001 Mike founded the digital agency, BASIK. As the Managing Director he led the agency's growth to a diverse group of 30 designers and engineers. The agency developed a focus in the Art world and its clients included many of the premier art galleries of the world.
His work has received accolades winning recognition from The Television Academy, Cannes Festival of Creativity, The One Club, Webbys and FWA. He is regularly covered in publications such as Fast Company, Filmmaker Magazine, Killscreen, Rolling Stone and Springwise. His work has been shown at international festivals including New York Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival, SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival and more.
Mike is a life-long musician. He played in numerous indie-rock/punk bands in the 1990s and toured the country in a Ford Econoline van named "Big Silver".
